Her  machinery was recovered in 1887 and placed in a new vessel built at Algonac that year.

Detail              :  She was preparing for her early runs when a spring freshet lifted her from her moorings and deposited her high up on the riverbank.  She was too high and too old to be released and  was later burned in place, though it is not stated whether the fire was intentional or not. Master: Capt. A. N. Clark. Owner: William N. Dewitt, Albany. Part of her construction materials were later used in the steamer A. D. PATCHIN (qv).

She was built as a 16 or 17 gun armed sloop and was captured in the War of 1812 by Commodore Perry. She was abandoned and lay under Misery Bay, Pa.,  until resurrected and rebuilt as a commercial vessel in 1835.

Detail              : She had been operating regularly to Hamilton in a particularly mild winter, when she caught fire at Queen’s Wharf, Toronto. She was cut loose and allowed to drift out to save the dock and other vessels tied up there. The steamer burned to a total loss while lying against an ice floe. The wreck was removed in the summer of 1856.

Sold Canadian, 1853, owned by M.W. Browne of Toronto.

Detail              : She sprang a leak in heavy seas while enroute to Kingston. She rolled over and foundered after her crew launched the  yawl. They made it to shore. She sank in 400′ of water. Owned by James Richardson & Sons, Kingston. Capt Chauncey Daryaw, her very famous skipper, died in 1922.

Ashore and damaged at Avon Pt. Lake Erie in September of 1884.

Rebuilt 1876, rebuilt and lengthened 30′ in 1896, major repair in 1887 after wrecking near Brighton, Ont. in 1886.

Detail              : She caught fire  while tied to McPherson & Crane’s wharf  for the night. After her hawsers burned through, she drifted to Brown’s wharf, where she threatened to ignite the entire waterfront. An American skipper and his mate  was later cited for bravery after the mate  swam to the burning vessel, tied a hawser from his vessel – the steamer ROCHESTER – to her bow, then hauled her away from the pier to prevent the fire from spreading. Owned primarily by Capt. Harrison of Hamilton and sailed by him.

Her hull was built at Oswego, NY, for Canadian buyers and her engine was installed at Hamilton. She had an unusual set of paddle wheels, invented by her builder, in which the buckets were curved and set at a 15 degree angle.

She was abandoned as a constructive total loss, but her engine and boiler were raised in July of 1904 and the hulk given over to the divers who had done the work. They removed the remaining gear.
